restoration, stream, watershed
Authors outline four process-based principles for stream restoration that will aid in addressing root causes of degradation, and the primary processes driving habitat conditions and ecosystem dynamics. Several examples are presented to illustrate how process-based restoration actions create more resilient ecosystems than do actions that attempt to create static channel or habitat features.
