This study assessed the initial feasibility and environmental impact of the removal of the Peninsular Paper Dam, which is located along the Huron River (Washentaw County, Michigan, U.S.). It was intended to inform the dam owner’s decision of whether the dam should be removed by providing an overview of the multi-sectoral effects associated with removal.
