This report details the methods and goals of the Northeast Stream Quality Assessment (NESQA) conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey in 2016. It also describes a precursory effort for the Atlantic Highlands flow-ecology study. The report includes details for the measurement of water quality, sediment chemistry, streamflow, and ecological surveys of stream biota/habitat. Additionally, it includes details on the processes of sample analysis, QA/QC, and data management.
