This study evaluates the effects of three concentrations of road salt at two exposure time scales (acute, 24 hours, or chronic, 96 hours) on the immune functioning of dragonfly larvae (Anax junius). The results indicate that chronic exposure to high concentrations of road salt makes the larvae more susceptible to parasites.
