This study used metagenomic analyses (i.e., laksdjflkaj) to evaluate the composition of microbial mats located in two places: one in the Isolated Sinkhole, which is in a deep section of Lake Huron (U.S.) and one in an artesian fountain, which sits in shallow, sunlight-exposed water.
