This study evaluates the impacts of saltwater intrusion on the phosphorus concentrations in freshwater aquifers as a result of phosphorus desorption of limestone bedrock. The results indicate that estuaries receiving a mix of fresh and salt water may have increased concentrations of soluble reactive phosphorus.
