This study evaluates the impacts of changing temperatures and dissolved oxygen concentrations (as a result of urbanization) on aquatic life. Six headwater streams and four stormwater BMP sites were monitored in the Anacostia River Basin (Maryland, United States). This paper also includes a literature review evaluating the effects of temperature and dissolved oxygen on the freshwater aquatic food chain.
