This study aimed to develop a specific yet flexible method to meet sediment reduction goals by paying farmers for sediment yield reductions using watershed modeling. The study also identifies cropland fields with the highest potential for soil erosion, simulates the effects of various BMPs, and evaluates the impacts of farmer-implemented BMPs on soil loss from agricultural areas.
