This study aimed to identify the mechanisms by which streamflow modification and streambank erosion are occurring in the Haw River, which is a severely threatened, high-order river in North Carolina (U.S.). Nearly 90 sites along the Haw River were assessed to determine which factors were influencing its unstable geomodification.
