fertilizer, nutrients, runoff, Stormwater
Stormwater nutrient runoff loadings within the Chesapeake Bay watershed are being increasingly regulated, particularly through implementation of watershed level TMDL programs and associated runoff and development restrictions. One potential alternative for significantly reducing nutrient runoff loadings is to vigorously reduce or eliminate applications of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers and/ or to implement a wide range of intensive fertilizer/ soil/plant management practices.
