This paper includes an analysis of over 620 restored and created wetlands globally in comparison with nearly 500 reference wetlands. The study evaluated the recovery trajectories of wetlands that underwent different restoration/creation approaches. The results indicate that restoration/creation approach did not significantly affect wetland recovery trajectory in most environments.
