This study quantified the nitrate concentrations in percolate and groundwater underneath conventional and no-till corn fields at the University of Maryland’s Forage Research Farm. Results from the 3-year study showed that the nitrate concentration in water underneath no-till corn fields is equal or less than that of conventionally-tilled fields.
