Considering the limitation of phosphorus (P), several countries have considered recovering P from wastewater treatment plants by using enhanced biological P removal. This study models the feasibility of this technique using design parameters of standard infrastructure in the United States. Implenting this strategy at wastewater treatment plants could decrease the country’s dependency on limited P resources.
