hydrology, Model, pollutant, Practice, sampling, Stormwater
Research was conducted on a green roof at Villanova University in Pennsylvania to determine the evapotranspiration (ET) component of the water budget. The project also determines if current predictive models for ET apply to stormwater management practices. During the 2009, growing season the study found that 65% of rainfall on the green roof was mitigated by ET. These findings highlight green roof and ET as important for stormwater management.
