This study evaluated the effects of temperature on the seasonal fluxes of carbon dioxide and methane by monitoring the biogeochemical outputs of a shrub fen wetland in northern Wisconsin (U.S.). The results of the study indicate that wetland carbon fluxes are substantially more affected by temperature than water table fluctuations.
