This study used a hydrodyanmic-biogeochemical model in conjunction with projections of temperature, freshwater inflow, and sea level rise to evaluate the impacts of climate change on the oxygenation of the Chesapeake Bay. The results indicate that the projected climate change impacts will negatively impact the Chesapeake Bay system’s ability to meet water quality criteria set by the Total Maximum Daily Load.
