This report describes how NOAA’s National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science created a habitat map for the shallow-water benthic areas of southwest Puerto Rico (U.S.). The aim of this effort was to characterize habitat types, biological cover, and coral cover in the area’s ecosystem.
