This report summarizes the biological and geophysical characteristics of the central and northern regions of California (U.S.). It is intended to supplement analyses done by NOAA’s National Marine Sanctuary Program and Centers for Coastal Ocean Science. Those analyses included a GIS-based biogeographic assessment of various marine resources.
