This study evaluated the effects of soil variables, adjacent land use, and vegetation structure on the occurrence of exotic species in over 20 forested wetlands in New Jersey (U.S.). The results indicate that a comprehensive ecosystem approach is necessary for managing wetlands exposed to urbanizing conditions.
