This report is a result of three years of research done by the USFS Rocky Mountain Research Station and Forest Concepts. The research resulted in the development of a wood-strand material that is optimized for erosion control. This paper outlines the development of the wood-strand material and discusses the performance of the material at a range of sites throughout the western U.S.
