This research report is a part of the Roadside Ditch Management and Performance Enhancing Devices project conducted by the Center for Watershed Protection, Inc. and the Chesapeake Stormwater Network, funded by the Chesapeake Bay Trust. This report subsection focuses on internal water storage. It provides: a definition of and uses for internal water storage; sourcing and procurement guidance; details for material testing and mixing; a risk assessment; operations and maintenance considerations; qualifying conditions for implementation; and photos from example projects.
