This report was produced and published by the Chesapeake Bay Program, University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, and U.S. Geological Survey. The report summarizes the results of over 40 water quality monitoring studies in the Chesapeake Bay. It aims to quantify the benefits of implementing BMPs, provide management guidance for decision-makers, explain the challenges to water quality improvement, and identify opportunities for creating measurable improvements in water quality and wildlife habitat conditions in the Bay.
