This report includes a literature synthesis of the impacts of timber harvest/forestry on the health of anadromous salmonid populations in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska (U.S.). The report reviews the habitat requirements of these salmonids and evaluates the potential effects of forestry on these habitats in addition to: describing the technical basis for forest practices and restoration efforts, analyzing current forestry best practices, and recommending specific watershed management efforts for recovering these salmonid populations.
