In North Carolina, 30 stormwater wetland and wet pond forebays were sampled for cadmium, chromium, copper, iron, led, nickel, and zinc. Seventeen of these sites exceeded EPA’s benchmarks for aquatic health. There is a need to routinely remove forebay sediments.
