This study documents two methods for evaluating the risk of outbreaks of Vibrio species (a pathogenic bacteria) and Alexandrium species (a harmful algae). One of the methods uses empirical models of growth, while the other uses climate model projections in conjunction with GIS-based spatial analysis.
